The Saudi Crown Prince’s tour before Biden’s visit.. Terrorism and Iran are a red line

Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been doing a shuttle tour to Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey before Biden's visit.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a foreign tour, during which he visited Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey. The broad title noted in the closing statements of the Crown Prince’s visit to Egypt and Jordan was the emphasis on fighting terrorism and confronting it, and this aspect is one of the most important political aspects that the Prince seeks to be implemented in Saudi Arabia and the Arab region through Vision 2030.

Also, the emphasis on the need to fight the Iranian expansion was strongly present during his meeting with Arab leaders, which confirms a different line of Qatari policy that supports terrorism and attempts to float Iran and facilitate its aggression against the Arab States, a policy that Biden has been dealing with since his arrival at the White House.

Observers say that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s tour is a confirmation of Saudi red lines, and to send indirect messages to US President Joe Biden before he begins his upcoming tour to the region.

These messages are passed through joint statements with countries of strategic weight. The statements reflect the Arab States’ hopes and aspirations to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the region. In other words, the Arab States wish to be at the forefront of the counter-terrorism and extremism.

On Wednesday, Jordan and Saudi Arabia announced their support for international efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The two countries expressed support for Arab efforts to urge Iran to cease interference in the internal affairs of Arab States and to avoid all “destabilizing activities”.

The two sides stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to counter extremism and work to combat terrorism in all its forms, counter its ideological roots, dry up its sources, stop all means of financing it, and spread religious and cultural values and moderation.

Saudi Arabia and Jordan also condemned the Iranian-backed Houthi militia’s terrorist attacks in Yemen against Saudi Arabia, and Jordan supports the Saudis in all steps they take to protect their security, stability, and interests.

In Egypt, the Saudi Crown Prince’s statements were an affirmation of the importance of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in a way that strengthens the unity of the Arab and Islamic ranks to confront the crises and challenges facing the Arab nation, and to stand in front of interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries in a way that aims to destabilize the security of the region and its peoples, In this context, they commended Egypt’s pivotal and firm role as a mainstay for security and stability in the region.

In turn, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to its firm stance toward Gulf security as an extension of Egypt’s national security and rejected any practices that seek to destabilize it.

On the other hand, Turkey welcomed the crown prince after a break and tension in relations as a result of the contradiction in politics and Erdogan’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist groups.

But the international changes that have prompted Turkey to adjust its policies have been a powerful catalyst for the restoration of relations between the two countries.

Observers say that the crown prince’s tour is not just an affirmation of the Saudi conditions and policy, but rather a clarification of the Arab nation’s anti-terror reality, so that the US administration knows in advance the reality of the region and its original character before the US president’s visit to it.
